Ternopil National Medical University and Professor Stefan Khmil Clinic Expand Cooperation in Scientific and Social Initiatives
On April 20, 2026, a meeting took place between the administration of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University and the founder of the network of medical centers “Professor Stefan Khmil Clinic.” The result of the visit was the signing of an agreement that opens new opportunities for science, innovation, and social support for the university staff.

The TNMU delegation included Rector, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi; Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Oleksandra Oleshchuk; Vice-Rector for Science, Education and Clinical Affairs, Professor Stepan Zaporozhan; and Head of the Project Management Office, Professor Oksana Shevchuk.

During the visit, university representatives acquainted themselves with the work of the modern medical center, the implementation of innovative reproductive technologies, and the latest treatment methods successfully applied in the clinic. The founder of the network, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 at TNMU, Stefan Khmil, conducted a tour of the facility’s departments, demonstrating high standards of medical care.

The main topic of discussion was deepening the integration of academic science and practical medicine. The parties agreed to conduct joint scientific research in medicine, intensify grant activities, and participate in large-scale international projects to promote the exchange of experience with foreign partners.
For his part, Stefan Khmil proposed to provide medical services at his clinic to TNMU employees on preferential terms (offering special discounts).

The meeting concluded with the official signing of a cooperation agreement, formalizing both parties’ intent to jointly develop Ukrainian medicine and science.
