TNMU Students has Won at The International Scientific Conference “The First Step In Science – 2026”
On April 16–17, 2026, the 23rd Student Scientific Conference with international participation, “The First Step in Science – 2026,” was held in Vinnytsia. The event brought together students and young researchers from various higher education institutions in Ukraine and abroad. The conference aimed to develop young people’s scientific potential, facilitate the exchange of experience, and present research findings.

Within the congress, a research project entitled “Experimental determination of the antioxidant properties of a thick extract of Eustoma russellianum” was presented. The study was conducted at the Department of Pharmacology with Clinical Pharmacology of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University under the supervision of PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor Viktor Pyda. Based on the evaluation of the presented studies, the work was awarded first place.
The victory was achieved by third-year medical students (MM-304) Kristina Halak and Violeta Klinovska, who demonstrated a high level of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and scientific thinking.

Participation in such scientific events contributes to students’ professional development, the development of research competencies, and the deepening of knowledge in medicine, particularly pharmacology.
