TNMU Ranked Second in the National Ranking of Higher Education Institutions in Ukraine Based on the Results of the “KROK-2 Physical Therapy” Exam 2025

СOleh Karpov, Educational Programs Specialist at Superhumans Center, Rehabilitation Assistant at the WHO Representative Office in Ukraine, and President of the Ukrainian Association of Specialists in Physical Therapy (USAPT), compiled for the first time a National Ranking of Ukrainian Universities based on students’ performance in the “KROK-2” exam in the specialty “Physical Therapy” in 2025.

The data source was the report “On the Results of Stage 1 of the Unified State Qualification Examination: Integrated Test Exam ‘KROK 2’ for Students of the Specialty ‘Therapy and Rehabilitation,’ Specialization ‘Physical Therapy,’ in 2025” prepared by the Testing Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

According to the Bayesian score ranking, the TOP-10 higher education institutions are:

  1. Lviv State University of Physical Culture (LDUFK)
  2. I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU)
  3. National University of Pharmacy (NUPh)
  4. Dnipro State Medical University (DSMU)
  5. Bohomolets National Medical University (NMU)
  6. Kherson State University (KhSU)
  7. Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU)
  8. Sumy State University (SumDU)
  9. Borys Hrinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University
  10. Vinnytsia Humanitarian-Pedagogical College (VHP)

The university ranking methodology was based on Bayesian averaging, which makes it possible to avoid the problem of small student sample sizes across a large number of universities.

Overall, 928 students took the exam in Ukraine, of whom 779 passed successfully.

The national average success rate was:
779 × 100 / 928 = 83.9%.

It is worth emphasizing that TNMU has always been associated with high-quality educational services.
