TNMU Professor Takes Part in International Gastroenterology Summit in Vietnam
Ihor Hospodarskyi, Head of the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care and Clinical Immunology and guarantor of the Nutrition educational and professional programme at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU), took part in the international “Liver and Gut 2026” Elite Summit. The event was held in Vietnam on 14–21 September 2026 at the invitation of the Vietnam Gastroenterology Association.

The professor delivered a series of lectures for leading gastroenterologists from eight Southeast Asian countries, highlighting the latest research on the microbiome, as well as innovative approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of liver diseases.
Ihor Hospodarskyi also contributed to the development of joint international diagnostic and treatment guidelines.

The Ukrainian researcher took part in science communication podcasts broadcast on Vietnamese national television.

In recognition of his significant contribution to the development of the field and the strengthening of international scientific ties, the researcher received an honorary award from the President of the Vietnam Gastroenterology Association.
Participation in events of this level highlights the standing of the Ukrainian medical academic community and contributes to integrating Ukrainian expertise into the global scientific community.
