The Nursing Institute Held Its Annual Welcome Meeting for First-Year Students

It has become a good annual tradition at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing of TNMU to bring first-year students together to meet their lecturers. The meeting provides an opportunity to communicate, learn more about their studies, and help students settle into their new academic environment.

The Director of the Institute, Associate Professor Svitlana Danchak, introduced the first-year students to the staff of the Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care and Clinical Immunology, which serves as a supporting department for the Institute’s students. She also spoke about educational initiatives and opportunities to participate in international projects. She encouraged students to learn English so that they could take part in these projects, learn from the experience of colleagues from other countries, and broaden their knowledge. She wished them to remain curious, take an active part in the life of the Institute, and make the most of their years of study for personal and professional development.

The lecturers introduced the students to their respective subjects, explained what to expect from their classes, and highlighted how the knowledge they would acquire would be useful in their future careers. This introduction marked the beginning of a relationship that will continue throughout their years of study. During the meeting, the academic advisers for each first-year group were also introduced, and their role in student life was explained. First-year students will be able to turn to them with questions, seek advice, or ask for assistance as they adapt to university life.

Following the annual tradition, each first-year student received a notebook and a pen as a small token of attention and a wish for a successful start to their studies. These notebooks will soon fill with first notes, important reminders, and perhaps ideas that will lead to something exciting.

We are delighted to welcome our first-year students to the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing! May your time here be filled with engaging learning experiences, good friendships, and the support of people who are always ready to help.
