Erasmus+ Study Exchange Opportunity at Üsküdar University (Istanbul, Turkey)
Students from Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU) have the opportunity to participate in a study exchange program at Üsküdar University, Turkey, for the 2025–2026 academic year (10 months).
This mobility opportunity (1 seat available) is fully funded by the Erasmus+ scholarship, with a total grant of €5,559.00 (individual support & travel) for the entire duration.
Nomination Deadline at TNMU: June 4, 2025
The selection process at TNMU will evaluate the applicants and will prioritize candidate according to the established criteria and budgetary availability. The selection process will be based on the principles of equity, fairness and transparency.
Applicant Eligibility
- Students must be enrolled in the 4th or 5th year of the Medicine program at TNMU during the 2025–2026 academic year;
- Must not exceed 12 months of Erasmus mobility, including the duration of the mobility period being applied for;
- GPA requirements: minimum 2.20/4.0;
- Students must have completed the required number of semesters — at least 6 semesters for those in the 4th year and at least 8 semesters for those in the 5th year of study
Grant priority or deductions:
- Higher priority to students with disabilities (must provide documents);
- Lower priority to students applying to study in their birth country;
- Lower priority to students who have previously participated in Erasmus+ programmes.
Course Recognition:
- Students must take 30 ECTS and complete minimum 20 ECTS for full grant eligibility.
- All completed courses will be fully recognized and transferred by TNMU.
Grant Deduction or Repayment Cases:
- 19–11 ECTS completed: 30% grant deduction;
- 10–0 ECTS completed: Full refund of pre-paid grant;
- Failure to submit final EU report: 5% deduction;
- Absence of more than 7 days (without justification): deduction;
- Early return (under 3 months): repayment unless “force majeure” is approved.
