TNMU graduates reached the national final for the Eurovision-2020 Song Contest

Several years ago, two TNMU students (Faculty of Pharmacy and International Students’ Faculty) Andrii Hutsuliak and Jeffrey Kenny (full name – Jimoh Augustus Kehinde) formed the musical band “TVORCHI”. Prior to their successful admission to the semi-finals of the Eurovision-2020 national selection, this duo had a number of performances and concerts at various venues in Ternopil and Ukraine. “Rector’s Cup” Basketball Tournament was held at TNMU

On January 28-30, 2020, the Rector’s Cup Basketball Tournament was held at Ternopil National Medical University Sports Complex. Good deeds make us happier and even healthier. It is believed that good is always repaid many times over and brings spiritual balance. There are also people who help children with special needs, children who have no parents and live in orphanages. Such children specificaly need human kindness and warmth. TNMU students represented the University at the Regional Chess Championship

On January 31 – February 2, 2020, Junior Chess Championship was held. 28 chess players participate in this intellectual game, 21 of them have reached the finish line. The competition was held at the Avangard Chess and Checkers Club.   The tournament was successfully attended by a student of TNMU Faculty of Dentistry Mykhailo Yakymchuk, who fulfilled the norm of the first category. TNMU celebrated International Dentist Day

On the occasion of International Dentist Day and the 15th anniversary of the foundation of TNMU Faculty of Dentistry, a festive concert was held. This event was also timed to mark the centenary of the Ukrainian Dental School.   The founder of the dentistry in Ternopil was Stepan Ivanovych Cherkashyn, the first dean of the Faculty of Dentistry (2004-2006). Cinema Evening at TNMU

TNMU teachers and students organized a commemoration meeting on the Famine of 1946 – 1947 in Ukraine

On February 5, 2020, TNMU Scientific Studio of the Local History Studies “Terpoliany” organized a commemoration meeting for the dramatic events that took place in the life of the Ukrainian people. During the struggle against Hitler’s Nazism, the Ukrainians suffered the most. Due to the numerous losses of the population and courageous struggle, Ukraine was granted membership in the UN. TNMU students checked the public awareness of coronavirus in Ternopil

“Coronavirus. Is there a threat in Ukraine? ” this was the title of the survey, conducted by I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University students. They were prompted by the current situation in the world and the rapid spread of the disease.    In general, future physicians interviewed four population groups in Ternopil: young people without medical education, TNMU students, middle-aged people and senior citizens. Educational and charitable event organized by TNMU students

On February 1, 2020, TNMU volunteer organization Misericordia organized and educational and charity event for the children of Baikivtsi united territorial community. The students prepared an English lesson, during which the kids learned many interesting English phraseologisms. At the lesson of Polish, all participants updated their vocabulary with new names for vegetables and fruits. TNMU is a leader in the number of patents received by Ukrainian universities in 2019

Every year, the Center for International Projects “EuroEducation” makes a ranking on the number of patents received by higher education institutions in the previous year. According to the results of the latest edition of the ranking, I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University ranks first among higher educational institutions of Ternopil Region. It also ranks second among medical universities in Ukraine and fourth among all universities in our country. In total, experts analyzed the patent and inventive activities of 247 higher education institutions in Ukraine.

TNMU ranks first in the international ranking “4 International Colleges & Universities”

According to the results of the international ranking “4 International Colleges & Universities”, published in the updated edition in January 2020, Ternopil National Medical University was ranked first among medical universities of Ukraine and first among universities of Ternopil region. TNMU scientist received a grant for participation in the training course”Management of Internationalization and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation 2020-2021″

Oksana Shevchuk, Head of TNMU Research Office, Associate Professor of the Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology, will participate in the training course “Management of Internationalization and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation 2020-2021”. Students are the initiators of many activities that are designed to preserve and enhance our customs.
