TNMU Researchers Present Their Achievements at the European Society of Cardiology Congress in Munich

Uliana Dmyterko, a PhD student at the Department of Emergency Medical Care, under the supervision of Professor Larysa Levytska, presented the results of her research entitled “Effectiveness of a Personalized Rehabilitation Programme Using an Artificial Intelligence-Based Telediagnostic Platform in Patients with Myocardial Infarction and Atrial Fibrillation” at the European Society of Cardiology Congress (ESC Congress 2026), held in Munich on 28–31 August 2026.

The TNMU research achievements became part of the scientific focus of ESC Congress 2026, “Artificial Intelligence in Cardiology,” and attracted the interest of international researchers and session moderators. This confirms that Ukrainian scientific developments are aligned with global trends in the advancement of cardiovascular science.

The European Society of Cardiology Congress brought together more than 30,000 healthcare professionals, researchers, and medical experts from over 100 countries. The event served as a key platform for sharing cutting-edge expertise, discussing innovations, and presenting the results of the latest clinical research.

The congress featured new clinical guidelines and key methodological documents, including two updated protocols on the management of heart failure and cardiovascular disease in patients with concomitant chronic kidney disease, the fifth Universal Definition of Myocardial Infarction, and an updated cardiac rehabilitation protocol.

Congress participants had the opportunity to attend workshops on echocardiography and emergency medical care, take part in interactive sessions, and visit exhibition areas hosted by leading pharmaceutical and technology companies. They also had the opportunity to learn about and practise the principles of operation of Impella mechanical circulatory support systems (an “artificial heart”), while networking and exchanging professional experience in dedicated networking areas and lounge zones.

Participation in ESC Congress 2026 provided an opportunity not only to proudly represent the achievements of the Ukrainian scientific community on the international stage, but also to establish professional contacts with leading experts for further cooperation and the implementation of cutting-edge technologies in clinical practice.
