TNMU and the Ternopil Regional Federation of Employers Discuss Areas of Cooperation

On 13 October 2026, a working meeting was held between the leadership of Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University and a representative of the regional business community. Serhii Zakharchyshyn, Head of the Ternopil Regional Federation of Employers, visited the University to discuss promising areas of partnership.

During the meeting with TNMU Rector, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi, the parties discussed cooperation in training highly qualified professionals, adapting educational programmes to meet the current needs of the labour market, and implementing joint research, practical and social initiatives.

The meeting was also attended by Arkadii Shulhai, Vice-Rector for Science and Education, and Oleksandra Oleshchuk, Vice-Rector for Research.

The participants emphasised the importance of bringing together medical science, education and employers to strengthen the region’s potential, improve graduate employment opportunities, and promote innovation in healthcare.

Following the meeting, priority steps were outlined to further deepen cooperation and develop joint projects.
