TNMU Volunteer Centre Received Financial Aid for the Purchase of Israeli Bandages

On April 3, 2023, a representative of Ukrainian show business, ex-member of the “Dzidzo” band Yulik (now engaged in his own solo career) and a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ivan Kalaur visited the Volunteer Centre of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.

During the meeting with TNMU Rector Mykhaylo Korda, they handed over the funds for the purchase of 150 Israeli bandages for individual first-aid kits of our servicemen. These tools save the lives of soldiers on the battlefield. We would like to add that Ivan Kalaur is a permanent supporter of our volunteer centre and constantly tries to find the necessary medicines, components for military first-aid kits, etc.

Funds for the purchase of bandages were collected during the concert program of Yulik and Honoured Artist of Ukraine Andrii Zalisko in the Spanish city of Palma de Mallorca, where our singers were actively supported by the Ukrainian community and caring Spaniards.

This performance took place as part of a mini-tour of artists in such cities as Naples, Rome Terni, Genoa, Acceri, Caserti (Italy), Pardubice (Czech Republic), Athens (Greece), Alborai (Valencia), Palma de Mallorca (Spain). They managed to collect 21,149 euros (845,960 hryvnias) for the needs of the Armed Forces, for which 2 ambulances were purchased, a Nissan car (pickup) equipped at the request of the military from Bakhmut, a reconnaissance drone, more than 1,500 first-aid kits, a Mercedes car for our defenders

The Volunteer Centre of TNMU expresses its appreciation to Ukrainian artists for their patriotism and assistance to Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor, as well as to People’s Deputy Ivan Kalaur for trusting our activities and recommending our centre within our country and abroad.
