TNMU Held Training for Instructors of Emergency Medical Care Centres

As part of the project on cooperation with the All-Ukrainian Council of Resuscitation and Emergency Medical Care, Advanced Life Support courses for adults from the European Council of Resuscitation were held during 6 days at TNMU Simulation Training Centre. 40 instructors of educational and training centres of emergency medical care from different regions of Ukraine had a chance to master important practical skills.

The teaching staff of Ternopil National Medical University and instructors who are doctors of the “Dobrobut” medical network and doctors of emergency medical care centres in Volyn and Vinnytsia were involved in the course.

During the course, the issues of initial examination of a critical adult patient, management of emergency conditions of a critical patient, advanced resuscitation measures were considered. In order to participate in these trainings, there was a preliminary selection, in particular theoretical testing, from among those who completed training under the transitory program at TNMU Simulation Training Centre during the last five months. Those who passed the tests with the best results were given the opportunity to become participants in the course.

Financing of these workshops was provided by the World Health Organization. All those who have completed this training course and have demonstrated their skills at instructor level will complete an instructor course from the European Resuscitation Council.
