Project “Give a Christmas Miracle to a Defender”
I.Ya. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University never overlooks those defending our land today.
Throughout December, the university organized a fundraising campaign to collect money, medicines, medical supplies, and hygiene products for TNMU students currently serving on the frontlines as part of the project “Give a Christmas Miracle to a Defender.” A total of 11,300 UAH was raised. These funds were used to purchase essential medications, and additional medicines were donated by benefactors from Italy and university faculty members from various departments. Associate Professor Tamara Vorontsova contributed supplies from the “Maidan Medics” volunteer center. Part of the funds raised during an autumn fair was used to buy heaters. The TNMU Student Parliament also purchased headlamps as part of the “Student Hryvnia” project.
University staff contributed hygiene products, long-lasting food items, sweets, and honey and purchased electric blankets.
All packages have been sent (with a total weight of nearly 100 kg). We thank Associate Professor Andriy Dovbush and “Humanitarian Nova Poshta” for their assistance with shipping.
Our student recipients have received photo reports, warm words of gratitude, and wishes for a peaceful Christmas and New Year. We eagerly await their safe return to the university and want their most cherished dreams to come true!
Thanks to TNMU students Viktoriia Dyachenko and Danylo Kutsenko for organizing the project and their continued support.
