TNMU Professor Participates in the Interregional Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation “Education, Science, and Practice in the Context of Pharmaceutical Industry Development”

On May 30–31, 2025, the interregional scientific and practical conference with international participation “Education, Science, and Practice in the Context of Pharmaceutical Industry Development” was held at the educational and rehabilitation center “Arnika” of Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University in Yaremche. The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of IFNMU.

The conference gathered over 50 participants from various regions of Ukraine, Estonia, and Poland, including scientists, academic staff of higher pharmaceutical and medical institutions, pharmacists, representatives of government agencies, public organizations, and the pharmaceutical business sector.

I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University was represented by Professor Svitlana Marchyshyn, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Head of the Department of Pharmacognosy with Medical Botany, and Yelyzaveta Lastovychenko, a PhD student in the “Pharmacy” educational and scientific program.

Professor Svitlana Marchyshyndelivered a plenary presentation “Prospects for the Use of Mahonia aquifolium in Pharmacy and Medicine.”

Rector of IFNMU, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Roman Yatsyshyn, and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Management, Drug Technology and Pharmacognosy of IFNMU, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor Andrii Hrytsyk, awarded Professor Marchyshyn with a certificate of appreciation for her significant contribution to the development of pharmaceutical education, science, and practice.

Key topics of the conference included:

quality management in pharmaceutical education, among others.

current challenges in pharmaceutical education;

implementation of innovative technologies in the learning process;

changes in the system of continuous professional development;

digitalization of the sector;

staffing issues;

research on medicinal plant materials and bioactive compounds;

drug standardization;

The conference served as a professional platform for exchanging experience and practical insights, and for outlining development directions for pharmaceutical education, science, and practice within Ukraine’s healthcare system.
