TNMU Representatives Took Part in a Meeting on the Training of Reserve Medical Service Officers

On June 26, 2025, an interdepartmental meeting was held at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, dedicated to the training of reserve medical service officers.

The event was attended by high-ranking officials, including Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk and Minister of Health Viktor Liashko. Representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Command of the Medical Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy, as well as specialized higher education institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Health also participated in the meeting. Ternopil National Medical University was represented by the Rector, Mykhailo Korda, and Head of the Department of Disaster and Military Medicine, Viktor Lototskyi.

The key topic of discussion was identifying solutions to challenges related to building a sufficient human resource capacity for the military medical service. Special attention was given to the need to increase the number of students enrolled in the reserve medical service officer training program. Participants also discussed the expansion of the network of military training departments or departments of disaster and military medicine in higher education institutions under the management of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science.
