Liudmyla and Mykola Kinashchuk Discussed New Projects for the Development of TNMU
On April 15, 2026, I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University warmly welcomed its distinguished alumni — Liudmyla and Mykola Kinashchuk. The couple, who have been successfully practicing medicine in the United States for many years, returned to their alma mater to outline new horizons of cooperation and support for future doctors.

During the visit, an official meeting took place between the benefactors and the Rector of TNMU, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi. The main topic of discussion was strengthening the university’s educational and technical capacities. Liudmyla and Mykola Kinashchuk showed particular interest in the institution’s current needs to ensure that their assistance would be as effective as possible and aligned with the challenges of modern medical education. Special attention was given to the modernization of the TNMU simulation training center, which allows students to practice practical skills to the level of automatic proficiency.

The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine, Professor Arsen Hudyma, and the university’s Chief Accountant, Tetiana Mudryk.
It is worth recalling that on September 16, 2022, thanks to the Kinashchuk couple, a new resuscitation simulation laboratory was opened.

In addition, since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, they have repeatedly provided tourniquets, Israeli bandages, and occlusive dressings so that volunteers could equip individual military first aid kits.

It was also Liudmyla and Mykola Kinashchuk who initiated named scholarships for the best students at Ternopil National Medical University on June 7, 2018. They became pioneers at TNMU in implementing such a system of financial or property donations as an endowment. Thanks to this, every year one of the top-performing medical students receives the Kinashchuk Named Scholarship. It is important to note that the benefactors maintain close contact with all scholarship recipients and take an interest in their professional development.

The Kinashchuk family has confirmed their intention to continue supporting talented youth by maintaining funding for the named scholarships through the endowment system. Thanks to this sustainable initiative, the best TNMU students will continue to receive both financial and mentorship support from successful alumni.
The administration of TNMU and the entire student community express their sincere gratitude to Liudmyla and Mykola Kinashchuk for their tireless energy, patriotism, and dedication to their home university.
