The Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, and Medical Psychology Congratulats on the All-Ukrainian Psychologist’s Day!

On April 23, as part of the All-Ukrainian Psychologists’ Day, a psychoeducational event “A Space of Support – From Words to Feelings” was held. It was a day dedicated to sincerity, presence, and care—for oneself and for one another.

The event brought together faculty members, interns, first-year students—future clinical psychologists—and students from the medical and dental faculties. This once again emphasized that psychological support is essential for everyone who works with people.

Warm words of congratulations were addressed to the participants by the guarantors of the Educational and Professional Program “Clinical Psychology,” Olena Venher and Tetiana Husieva.

The event began with an interactive activity, “Wall of Support,” conducted by first-year student Romana Hnativ. All participants were invited to contribute to creating a shared space of support by writing words and phrases on a large poster that inspire, calm, and provide strength in difficult moments.

The event continued with a mindfulness training session led by medical intern Liudmyla Levchuk, aimed at developing skills of awareness and emotional self-regulation. Participants were introduced to the basic principles of mindfulness and had the opportunity to experience a state of focus on the present moment through practical exercises.

During the training, accessible techniques were used—such as focusing on breathing, bodily sensations, and the perception of the surrounding environment—which can be easily integrated into everyday life.

The event took place in a warm, supportive atmosphere and was aimed at reducing stress levels, improving concentration, and enhancing participants’ overall psychological well-being.
