The Times Higher Education World University Rankings is one of the world’s most influential sources of data on the performance of higher education institutions.
The ranking is based on five main criteria:
– Teaching (29.5%) – assesses the university’s academic reputation based on surveys of scholars, the staff-to-student ratio, the number of doctoral degrees awarded, and institutional income. This indicator demonstrates the extent to which the university provides a high-quality learning environment.
– Research Environment (29.5%) – takes into account academic reputation in research, research funding, and research productivity, including the number of publications per academic and teaching staff member.
– Research Quality (30%) – evaluates the number of citations of research publications, their impact on global science, and the share of papers published in the most prestigious international academic journals.
– Industry (2.5%) – considers income from collaboration with industry, the number of patents obtained, and citations of the university’s research publications in patent documentation. This criterion demonstrates the extent to which research findings are translated into practical applications.
– International Outlook (7.5%) – assesses the proportion of international students and academic staff, as well as the number of publications co-authored with researchers from other countries. This indicator demonstrates the extent to which the university is integrated into the global academic community.
We congratulate the TNMU academic community on this significant international recognition, made possible through the dedicated work and commitment of every member of our university community.
