TSMU student took third prize for the best presentation of scientific research

International Conference of Young Researchers “Annual Young Medical Scientists’ Conference 2016” took place on 28-29 October at the Bohomolets National Medical University.  At this forum Ternopil State Medical University was represented by the IV year student of the medical faculty Ihor Stetsiuk.

After the opening ceremonies participants continued to work in plenary and sectional seesions. Students had an opportunity to discuss topical issues in the fields of theoretical, experimental, clinical and preventive medicine. New this year was the mandatory review of submitted abstracts, which significantly increased the quality of presented works, because the organizers invited to participate in the conference only the best researchers. In addition to presenting his study, Ihor Stetsiuk also took part in practical master class on microvascular surgery surgical given by the group «Armata Manus». The master class was carried out at the National Cancer Institute.

Ihor Stetsiuk presented his report on the section of pharmacology, clinical pharmacology, and pharmacy. His research topic was «Determination of hypoglycemic effective dose of dry extract of Vaccinium myrtillus L.» (Department of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology, Head of Department Professor O.M. Oleszczuk; research advisors K. I.Kurylo and  O.O. Shevchuk). TSMU student presented his research results in English.

The conference had a friendly and sincere atmosphere, and Ihor Stetsiuk received the third prize for the best presentation of scientific research. Executive Committe of the conference noted that his research has significant value. Ihor previously published his results in a journal of young researchers “Ukrainian Young Reserchers’ Journal of Fundamental and Applied Science”.
