TSMU scholar participated in international conference on comparative pedagogy

International conference “Comparative pedagogy and international education – 2017: Educational Transformations in the Context of European Integration and Globalization” took place on 15-16 June at the Institute of Pedagogy of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences. It was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine. The event was organized by the Institute of Educational Sciences of Romania, the Institute of Pedagogics of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, in particular the Department of Comparative Pedagogy, within the framework of the NRP “Transformational Processes in School Education in the European Union and United States”.

Head of the department of foreign languages, associate professor, Dr. Nadia Fedchyshyn took part in the work of comparative pedagogics community with the presentation “Comparative Field Today and Tomorrow”. In it, she outlined the importance of comparative pedagogical studies, educational transformations, innovations and development of education strategies for Ukraine, Europe and the world in the context of globalization processes. The aim of the work is to find ways to improve Ukrainian education.

The conference highlighted the importance of networking among comparative pedagogics scientists, which will promote the development of European dimension of educational space and will provide an opportunity to analyze educational projects in different countries. Envoy of the Romanian Embassy in Ukraine addressed the participants underscoring the significance of scientific contacts between Ukraine and Romania.

Current approach to the development of education in European countries provides an opportunity to gain new experience in the post-totalitarian countries of Eastern Europe, that searching for new ways to reform education at all levels.
