TNMU Volunteers Express Appreciation to Supporters from London

On April 6, 2022, the Volunteer Centre of Ternopil National Medical University received another humanitarian consignment from the International Assistance Headquarters for Ukrainians, the Ukrainian restaurant “Prosperity” (London), volunteers and concerned citizens of the United Kingdom. The initiator of assistance to our country is Halyna Kosynska.

This time TNMU volunteers received 100 kg of baby food, 250 kg of personal hygiene products, 180 kg of food, clothing, 90 kg of sleeping bags, 35 kg of blankets and pillows, 30 kg of bed linen, 40 kg of towels. The cargo also contained 41 kg of medicines and 569 kg of medical supplies. It should be noted that our benefactors tried to donate much-needed medical supplies to ophthalmologists, surgeons, endoscopists, minimally invasive surgeons, urologists, cardiac surgeons, and dermatologists, who will be sent to military hospitals. Much of this has already been sent to medical facilities that provide medical care to our defenders.

In addition, for the needs of the military volunteers of our university, the Londoners donated powerful flashlights with batteries and a charging platform. This will allow to continue operations in case of switching off the lights in the operating rooms or fulfil other needs in wartime.

The received wheelchairs, crutches and sticks have already been handed over to temporarily displaced persons who are in need of these items.
