TNMU Received Tourniquets from International Organization “World Without Orphans”

The international non-governmental organization World Without Orphans sent 100 CAT tourniquets (Combat Application Tourniquet) to I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. These are the most essential means to save lives on the battlefield. The tourniquets were handed over by TNMU volunteers to military healthcare specialists who are on duty in the active combat zone.

The representative of the above-mentioned organization Nathan Burke (Romania) immediately responded to the request from the volunteers of our university regarding the possibility of purchasing tourniquets for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He managed to unite the efforts of NGOs and concerned citizens. Today, Nathan Burke is raising money to buy decompression needles and occlusive dressings.

World Without Orphans is a non-governmental organization that has been operating successfully for the past 12 years to protect children and families of vulnerable groups and those forced to leave their hometowns due to certain extreme circumstances. Representatives of this association provide the necessary assistance and organize the evacuation of people from dangerous places.
