TNMU Partners from Biała Podlaska Sent a Shipment of Medications

John Paul II University of Applied Sciences (Biała Podlaska, Poland) is a longtime partner of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University in the academic and research areas. From the first days of the war, Polish colleagues immediately expressed their solidarity with Ukraine and Ukrainians.

Representatives of John Paul II University of Applied Sciences sent 400 kg of medicines and medical supplies to the TNMU Volunteer Centre. Everything received has already been transferred to hospitals located on the line of fire, military hospitals, our defenders.

“Every day we receive information about the dramatic situation in Ukraine, every hour new initiatives appear from the Poles to support your country in the courageous and heroic struggle for freedom. At our university, we provide psychological support to students from Ukraine, we organized a collection of clothes and food. If we can do something more for you or you need something, we will help you wholeheartedly. We stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people at the time of this insidious attack by Russia and Putin on your country. I can assure you that all our country and all our people are on the side of Ukraine,” said Professor Marcin Weiner (Department of Computer Science) in his letter.

His colleague, Dr. Agnieszka Kaliszuk, added: “my heart bleeds with pain, anger and fear for the safety of ordinary people like us. I just hope you and your families are safe, that you keep in touch with those who care about you. I am very sorry that we are ordinary people, and there is nothing we can do to stop this except to protest against it and pray that it will stop. Please, let me know what can be done to help you get through this.”

We truly thank the John Paul II University of Applied Sciences team and all our partners for their support and assistance. Together with you we are so much stronger.

TNMU Press Secretary Yanina Chaikivska.
