International Students Mastered Their Practical Skills

During the month from October 23 to November 22, 2023, 4th-6th-year international students of TNMU polished their skills at the Centre for Medical Simulation. Students mastered all the necessary therapeutic, paediatric, surgical, obstetric and gynaecological skills that they were unable to practice during online training due to the war in Ukraine.

Students improved their skills in patient care of various profiles (questioning, physical examination and interpretation of laboratory and instrumental methods of examination), skills in managing a gynaecological patient and a woman in labour, surgical manipulations, listening to the foetal heartbeat, resuscitation of a new-born child, analysis of clinical information for decision-making (results of laboratory and instrumental examinations), practiced cardiopulmonary resuscitation, developed professional competences specified in the training program.

The teachers of the departments of the International Students’ Faculty, as well as the staff of the Centre for Medical Simulation, created the maximum conditions for our students to master professional practical skills, which are provided by the requirements of the standard of the second (master’s) level of higher education and the training program in the specialty “Medicine”.
