National Research and Training Conference at TNMU Joined More Than 700 Scientists
On September 23-24, 2021, the National and International Research and Training Conference “Prospects for development of medical and physical rehabilitation at various levels of medical care” was held at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.
The event was organized by the Department of Medical Rehabilitation and the Department of Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy and Physical Education. Due to quarantine restrictions, the meeting of scientists took place online.
Lead specialists from different parts of Ukraine and the world took part in the scientific meeting: from Kyiv, Lviv, Kramatorsk, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Dnipro, Poltava, Sumy as well as from Poznan, Bila Podlaska (Poland).
Professor Ivan Klishch, the Vice-Rector for Research of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, welcomed the participants on behalf of the university administration.
Ivan Mykolaiovych welcomed the conference guests, stressed the its expediency and importance, thanked the participants for their indifference to the development of medical and physical rehabilitation and wished fruitful work.
The plenary session was opened by Professor Ihor Mysula, the Head of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation, and Professor Daria Popovych, the Head of the Department of Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy and Physical Education. They greeted the participants of the scientific meeting with and wished good luck.
The report of Professor Ihor Mysula on “The role of the Erasmus + programme in introduction of European standards for training of masters of physical therapy in Ukraine” was very interesting for participants of the conference.
The speech of Professor Oleksandr Vladimirov, Head of the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and Sports Medicine of Shupyk National University of Health of Ukraine, laureate of the State Prize of Ukraine in science and technology, Honoured Doctor of Ukraine on “Development of a modern rehabilitation system in Ukraine: achievements and problems” was of great scientific interest.
Anna Kushnir, a pediatrician, expanded on formation of motor functions in children with cerebral palsy undergoing rehabilitation according to the method of Professor Koziavkin.
Professor Valerii Sokrut, Head of the Department of Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine of Donetsk National Medical University presented a report “Rehabilitation of patients with joint syndrome at the primary and secondary levels of care”.
The report “Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor and its role in synaptic plasticity of the brain from the standpoint of neurorehabilitation” was presented by Iryna Kamyshna, Associate Professor of the Department of Medical Rehabilitation, of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.
Professor Lukian Andriiuk, Head of the Department of Rehabilitation and Alternative Medicine, Faculty of Postgraduate Education, Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University presented a report on “Management of persons suffering from traumatic brain injury in a special period”.
Professor Petro Kolisnyk, Head of the Department of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine of Vinnytsia Pirogov National Medical University, expanded on medical exercises as a component of multilevel rehabilitation of patients with post-COVID syndrome.
Professor Oksana Polianska, Department of Internal Medicine, Physical Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine of Bukovynian State Medical University expanded on “Myocardial infarction on the background of COVID-19: stages of rehabilitation”.
Professor Oleh Panchenko, Director of Research and Training Medical Rehabilitation and Diagnostic Centre of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, reported on clinical rehabilitation in the context of information and psychological warfare.
Liubomyr Synoverskyi, Director of Vershyhora Bilche-Zolote Regional Hospital for Rehabilitation presented a report on organization of work of Bilche-Zolote Hospital and rehabilitation in current circumstances to the conference participants.
Doctor Gustaw Wójcik, Państwowa Szkoła Wyższa im. Pope John Paul II in Biała Podlaska presented a report on “Rehabilitation of cancer patients in the form of radiotherapy” and new methods of rehabilitation of cancer patients in Europe.
Natalia Davybida, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy and Physical Education of TNMU, interested the conference participants with the information presented and a master class on “Chocolate massage: benefits, indications and techniques”.
The report of Tymofii Shytikov on “Rehabilitation of children with long-term consequences of craniocerebral trauma by manual therapy methods” was of great scientific interest.
The report on “Application of medical information systems in rehabilitation” was presented by Professor Dmytro Vakulenko, the Head of the Department of Medical Informatics of TNMU.
Viktor Nazaruk, Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy and Physical Education of TNMU, delivered an useful and exciting master class on “The use of special developing exercises of dance therapy in physical rehabilitation”.
Vitaliy Benko, a physical therapist of Ternopil City Municipal Hospital and the founder of the Recovery Lab Physical Rehabilitation Centre in Ternopil, expanded on the use of the Neurac method in adhesive capsulitis.
Liudmyla Vakulenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Orthopedagogics, Volodymyr Hnatiuk Ternopil National Pedagogical University, presented the report on “Information reserves of the Martin-Kushelevsky functional test, the importance of morphological analysis of arterial oscillograms”.
The scientists summed up the work of the plenary and sectional meetings, thanked the university management for their assistance and all the conference participants for their fruitful and creative work.
The videoconference allowed the participants to present their scientific achievements and at the same time became a platform for scientific discussion, joint viewing and fruitful discussion of video clips and presentations.
