Pathomorphology Olympiad for Medical Students at TNMU
On March 26, 2025, the Department of Pathological Anatomy with a sectional course and forensic medicine at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University organized an Olympiad in Pathomorphology for third-year medical students.
Organizers and Jury
The responsible organizers for the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad were Associate Professor Tetyana Holovata and Assistant Professor Olena Hladiy. The Olympiad was also coordinated by Associate Professors Mykhailo Furdela, Yuriy Orel, Andriy Slyva, and Assistant Professor Yaroslav Yuryk.
The jury was led by the head of the department, Professor Petro Selyskyi, and included:

A total of 21 third-year medical students participated in the Olympiad. The competition was held in three categories:
Analyzing microscopic slides using a visualization system.
Test-based control from the “Step-1” database.
Describing macroscopic specimens from the department’s museum.

The winners of the Olympiad demonstrated exceptional knowledge, and the results were as follows:
1st place – Olha Kovalyshyn (MM-301)
2nd place – Ulyana Poberezhnyk (MM-307) and Tetyana Strielova (MM-306)
3rd place – Olesya Zahrychuk (MM-303), Iryna Kushnirchuk (MM-324), and Liliya Marusin (MM-309)






All participants who earned prize places were awarded diplomas.
