The Area Near the Morphological Building of TNMU Was Greened as Part of the Global Eco-Initiative “Greening of the Planet”
The first day of May 2025 at Ternopil National Medical University began with a pleasant event — the greening of the area near the Morphological Building and the university library. Visitors to our library will now be welcomed by the sight of a beautiful magnolia tree. On May 1, in front of the Morphological Building, students, together with the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Ternopil and regional representative of the charitable organization “Greening of Ukraine” Charitable Foundation, Tetiana Chubak, planted a sakura tree, a paradise apple tree, hydrangeas, and rhododendrons.

“This year, the tree planting was dedicated to the memory of Ukrainian defenders who lost their lives due to the war. We also want to make our city and Ukraine as a whole more beautiful and greener, so that Ukrainians and guests of our country feel comfortable and welcomed here,” said Tetiana Chubak.

A few years ago, Ms. Tetiana signed a “Memorandum of Cooperation in Implementing the Global Eco-Initiative ‘Greening of the Planet’” with the Rector of Ternopil National Medical University, Professor Mykhailo Korda.

In total, a variety of plants have been planted at different TNMU locations, including a tulip tree, larch, weigela bushes, lavender, roses, sakura trees, magnolias, hydrangeas, Vici grapevines, viburnum, cultivated lilac bushes, weeping cherry trees, and ornamental bonsai.
