Scientists of TNMU were Awarded by the Prizes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine

During the regular reporting session of the General Meeting of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, which took place on April 30, 2025, in Kyiv, the President of the NAS of Ukraine, Academician Anatolii Zahorodnii, presented diplomas to the laureates of the named prizes honoring outstanding Ukrainian scientists, based on the results of the 2024 competition.

To recognize scientists who have published outstanding scientific works, made inventions and discoveries of great importance for the development of science and the economy of Ukraine, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine annually awards prizes named after prominent Ukrainian scholars. Each prize is awarded once every three years.

This year’s prizes were awarded in accordance with Resolution No. 33 of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine dated February 5, 2025, “On the Awarding of the Prizes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Named After Outstanding Ukrainian Scientists Based on the Results of the 2024 Competition.”

Among the laureates of these named prizes are also representatives of our university.
D. Zabolotnyi Prize for outstanding scientific work in the fields of microbiology, virology, and epidemiology was awarded to:
• Mykhailo Andreychyn, Head of the Department at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, Academician of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.

F. Yanovskyi Prize for outstanding scientific work in the fields of therapy, clinical bacteriology, and immunology—for the cycle of works titled “Neurotropic, hormonal, and immunotropic activity of uric acid”—was awarded to:
• Mykhailo Korda, Rector of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine;
• Ivan Klishch, Vice-Rector for Research at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, Doctor of Biological Sciences.
