Meeting of the Educational Program Guarantors’ School at Ternopil National Medical University
On May 6, 2025, a meeting of the Educational Program Guarantors’ School at TNMU took place, during which a number of important issues were discussed regarding the quality assurance of the educational process and preparation for upcoming accreditations.
During the meeting, the decisions of the National Qualifications Agency concerning the awarding of professional qualifications to graduates of the specialties “Medicine,” “Dentistry,” and “Paramedic” were discussed.

A key topic was the improvement of the procedure for assessing students’ independent work, taking into account the specifics of various disciplines. It was decided to expand the corresponding section in the Regulations on the Organization of the Educational Process and to require a detailed description of the assessment procedure in each academic discipline’s working program and syllabus. Departments with particular specifics were recommended to develop their own justified approaches to assessing independent student work.
Significant attention was devoted to preparing for the upcoming accreditation processes of eight university educational programs. Guarantors were advised to accelerate the formation of working groups by June 1, 2025, and to begin drafting self-evaluation reports, as well as to provide information on the composition of the educational process support teams.
As part of experience exchange, guarantors shared positive practices, in particular, the implementation of online courses on academic integrity for students. A decision was made to consider the possibility of introducing similar courses for students of various levels at TNMU.
The decisions made are aimed at further improving the quality of the educational process and successfully passing future accreditation procedures at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.
