Scheduled Meeting of the Academic Council of TNMU
On June 24, 2025, a scheduled meeting of the Academic Council of Ternopil National Medical University took place under the chairmanship of the Rector, Professor Mykhailo Korda.
Before the session began, Professor Korda presented PhD diplomas to the following recipients:

- Oksana Levchuk.
Academician and Professor Mykhailo Andreychyn presented the results of the competition for the Ivan Horbachevskyi Prize.
Based on the expert evaluation of the research works submitted by university scientists, the following were selected as winners:
In the category “Achievements in Theoretical Medicine and Pharmacy Research”:
S. Marchyshyn, L. Slobodyanyuk, L. Budniak – “Prospects for the Use of Ornamental and Introduced Plants in Ukraine in Pharmacy and Medicine.”
In the category “Achievements in Clinical Medicine and Dentistry Research”:
O. Boyarchuk, O. Shulhai, T. Hariian, L. Volianska, N. Yarema – “Improving the Diagnosis of Primary Immunodeficiencies through Medical Staff Training, Public Awareness, and Infrastructure Enhancement, Including Neonatal Screening for SCID.”
In the category “Achievements in Social and Humanitarian Sciences”:
A. Shulhai, N. Fedchyshyn, H. Klishch, L. Fedoniuk, S. Hnatyshyn – “The Impact of War on the Mental Health of Youth in Ukraine.”
The academic secretary, Professor Illia Herasymiuk, reported on faculty appointment matters.
Following a secret ballot, Associate Professor Khrystyna Duve was elected to the position of Professor of the Department of Neurology.
Also, based on the secret vote, the academic title of Associate Professor was conferred upon:
