Training “Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education”: TNMU Representatives Joined the Discussion on Innovation
On July 3–4, 2025, the in-person training session “Artificial Intelligence in Medical Education” took place in Kyiv. The event was organized within the framework of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Medical Education Development in Ukraine”. It brought together professionals from various regions and educational institutions across Ukraine to discuss innovative approaches to integrating artificial intelligence into the academic process of higher medical education institutions.

I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine was represented by Andrii Mashtalir, Head of the Academic Office; Volodymyr Radchuk, Head of the Internal Assurance of Higher Education Quality Department; and Associate Professor Andrii Hospodarskyi from the Department of General Surgery.

The training program covered a number of relevant topics, including:
- modern AI algorithms and models and their potential in medical education;
- practical case studies on using AI in the training of future doctors;
- ethical and legal aspects of implementing advanced technologies;
- prospects for integrating AI into educational platforms.

Participants had the opportunity not only to explore the theoretical foundations of the topic but also to engage in discussions, practical sessions, and a hackathon focused on introducing digital tools into the education of medical students.

TNMU representatives actively contributed to the discussion, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives for improving educational programs and highlighting the need for a systematic approach to integrating AI into the academic process.
