TNMU Honorary Professor Harald Teufelsbauer was Named 2025 Laureate of the Order of St. Panteleimon
On the occasion of Medical Workers’ Day, a solemn ceremony honoring Ukraine’s most outstanding military and civilian medical professionals with the Order of St. Panteleimon took place on July 27, 2025, in Kyiv. The event was held at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War.

The 2025 Order of St. Panteleimon in the nomination “International Recognition – for Contribution to the Fight for Ukraine’s Freedom” was awarded to Professor Harald Teufelsbauer of the Medical University of Vienna — a long-time friend and Honorary Professor of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.

Professor Teufelsbauer is a renowned expert in vascular surgery, employing both open surgical techniques and minimally invasive endovascular interventions to treat aneurysms and vascular thrombosis. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he has frequently traveled to the country to perform surgeries on wounded soldiers side-by-side with Ukrainian surgeons.

We sincerely congratulate our long-time and trusted partner, Harald Teufelsbauer, on receiving this prestigious award and on the recognition of his invaluable contribution to the development of Ukrainian medicine and our shared path to victory.
