TNMU Among the Leaders in the Most Popular Higher Education Institutions for Internship

This year, for the first time in Ukraine, internship placement in medical universities was conducted using an electronic system that took into account students’ academic performance throughout all years of study as well as their personal preferences. The best positions were assigned to graduates with the highest ratings. Each graduate could submit up to five applications for desired placements and was allocated to one of them.

In total, three rounds of placement were carried out. More than 96% of graduates received state-funded internship positions during the main round. The third round was organized for those who passed the “Krok-2” exam on their second attempt.

Altogether, 5,826 individuals began their internship training, almost half of whom are studying at the expense of the state budget.

The most popular higher education institutions were:

• Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University;
• P. Shupyk National University of Health of Ukraine;
• I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University;
• Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University;
• Odesa National Medical University.

As we can see, TNMU maintains its leadership in internship placement.

The electronic ranking system for placement was developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine on the Diia.Engine platform with the support of the Swiss-Ukrainian EGAP Program, implemented by the East Europe Foundation.
