TNMU Among the Top Five Ukrainian Universities Selected to Implement an Academic Integrity Development Project

The team of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) Integrity Office and the NGO Anti-Corruption Headquarters, with the support of UNDP in Ukraine and funding from the Government of Denmark, has selected five universities to implement a project aimed at strengthening integrity in higher education.

I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University became one of the winners of this competition and, together with four other universities, will work on implementing methodological recommendations during the 2025–2026 academic year.

The other selected institutions include Borys Hrinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University, H. S. Skovoroda Kharkiv National Pedagogical University, Poltava State Agrarian University, and Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University.

As part of the project, students, faculty, and university administrations of the pilot institutions will:

  • conduct a self-assessment of their readiness to implement internal integrity policies;
  • identify challenges and growth areas in university anti-corruption strategies;
  • receive a step-by-step action plan for implementing mandatory recommendations;
  • take part in research on corruption in their institutions;
  • learn how to make their universities more transparent and ethical;
  • participate in interactive educational events and meet opinion leaders in the field of integrity and anti-corruption.

On October 24, 2025, the first organizational meeting with NACP representatives took place, where TNMU was represented by Iryna Molen, Acting Commissioner for Anti-Corruption Activities.

The project “Anti-Corruption and Integrity: Transforming the University Environment” is implemented by the NACP Integrity Office in partnership with the NGO Anti-Corruption Headquarters, with the support of UNDP Ukraine and funding from the Government of Denmark.
