Seminar “Medical Errors in Modern Conditions: Clinical, Expert, and Legal Aspects”
As part of the cooperation between I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University and Zhytomyr Regional Clinical Hospital, a seminar titled “Medical Errors in Modern Conditions: Clinical, Expert, and Legal Aspects” was held in Zhytomyr on October 23–24, 2025.

The seminar was opened by:
– Oleksandr Veselovskyi, Acting General Director of the Municipal Nonprofit Enterprise “O. F. Herbachevskyi Regional Clinical Hospital” of the Zhytomyr Regional Council;
– Stepan Zaporozhan, Vice-Rector for Science, Education and Clinical Affairs of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.

Leading TNMU scholars took part in the seminar:
– Prof. Valentyn Franchuk delivered a report titled “Medical Errors in Modern Conditions: Clinical and Expert Aspects”;
– Assoc. Prof. Nadiia Humenna presented “The Legal Status of a Physician under Current Ukrainian Legislation”;

– Prof. Volodymyr Hnativ spoke on “Medical Errors in Anesthesiology”;

– Assoc. Prof. Petro Hudak gave a presentation on “Errors and Complications in Neurosurgical Treatment of Head and Neck Injuries”;

– Prof. Svitlana Heriak delivered a lecture on “Medical Errors in Obstetrics and Gynecology”;
– Prof. Olena Samohalska presented “Medical Errors in Gastroenterology”;
– Assoc. Prof. Larysa Martyniuk discussed “Medical Errors in Endocrinology”;

– Assoc. Prof. Sofiia Lypovetska reported on “Medical Errors in Cardiology.”

It is hoped that this seminar, held in a clinical setting, helped summarize the work accomplished and outline new objectives for the future.
