Lecture “From Courage to Opportunities”: Experience and Insights from Professor Oksana Boyarchuk

On November 12, 2025, an extraordinary lecture titled “From Courage to Opportunities” was held at the initiative of the Scientific Society of Students of TNMU, which became a true source of inspiration for everyone present.

The speaker for the lecture was Oksana Boyarchuk—a professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Children’s Diseases with Pediatric Surgery, a Fulbright Scholar, and a participant in international conferences and internships. She is a person who proves daily by her own example that Ukrainian science can be recognized worldwide: this year, Professor Oksana Romanivna once again entered the TOP 2% of the world’s most influential scientists in the field of Pediatrics (Clinical Medicine), according to the updated version of the ranking annually compiled by researchers from Stanford University in collaboration with the publisher Elsevier.

The lecture turned out to be extremely interesting—Ms. Oksana shared her own journey in science, her experience with international internships, professional advice, and sincere guidance for young researchers and doctors.

We are delighted that the lecture united so many students and faculty members in the auditorium who are interested in growth and new opportunities. We thank Oksana Boyarchuk for her sincerity, inspiration, and belief in the younger generation of medics, and thank everyone present for choosing to grow together with the Scientific Society of Students (NTS).

We extend special thanks to Petro Lykhatskyi, Dean of the Medical Faculty, for his continuous support of NTS initiatives and his warm words to all attendees at the end of the meeting. We also thank Marta-Viktoriia Zaleshchuk for moderating the meeting and creating a pleasant, professional atmosphere.

Lectures like this are a reminder that every great story begins with the courage to take the first step!
