TNMU Leads in the Number of International Applicants

According to the results of the 2025/2026 admissions campaign, Ternopil National Medical University ranked first among medical universities in Ukraine in terms of the number of admitted international students.

This year, admission for foreign citizens was conducted through a unified interdepartmental information system for the enrollment of international students in educational institutions. Prospective students uploaded their educational documents to the electronic accounts they created. The university prepared the educational offer, and after verification by the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, an electronic invitation was issued. TNMU issued 102 electronic and 93 paper invitations.

As a result, 123 students were admitted to the first and second levels of higher education in their first year across various specialties in the field of Healthcare and Social Welfare, 11 interns of primary specialization in General Medical Practice, 11 postgraduate course attendees, and 7 PhD students in various specialties. This is the largest number of international students among medical universities in Ukraine in 2025.

The increase in international applicants at TNMU reflects the high quality of educational services and the university’s commitment to the proper training of medical professionals.
