Petro Lykhatskyi Wins the Election for Rector of TNMU

The second round of elections for the position of Rector of Ternopil National Medical University took place on December 5, 2025. The winner was Petro Lykhatskyi, Dean of the Medical Faculty.

TNMU was held by 617 academic staff members, 130 students, and 65 other employees.

The TNMU community voted as follows:

• Petro Lykhatskyi, current Dean of the Medical Faculty — 440 votes
• Petro Selskyi, current Head and Professor of the Department of Pathological Anatomy with Sectional Course and Forensic Medicine — 276 votes
• Voted for neither candidate — 17 individuals
• Invalid ballot — 1

A total of 734 people participated in the voting.
