TNMU Included in the State Register of Scientific Institutions Eligible for Government Support
According to information published on the official website of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ternopil National Medical University (TNMU) has been included in the State Register of Scientific Institutions eligible for government support. The register includes 216 scientific institutions and universities (166 scientific institutions and 50 higher education institutions) that have passed state attestation and have been classified into groups A, B, and C based on their results. According to Article 12 of the Law of Ukraine “On Scientific and Scientific-Technical Activity,” this register determines which institutions are eligible for state support and under what conditions.
Inclusion in the register provides the following advantages:
- Tax benefits, allowing resources to be directed toward the development of research activities;
- Protection from privatization;
- Obligation to allocate at least 50% of income to science and infrastructure;
- Secured a scientific profile, preventing changes in the type of activities.
For the first time, research institutes and higher education institutions have been included in the register for a full five-year period, until December 31, 2030, without the need for re-attestation or reclassification. This reduces administrative burden and allows more time to achieve results.
This year, applications for inclusion in the State Register were submitted through the National Electronic Scientific and Information System URIS, which streamlined the process.
We congratulate the TNMU team on this recognition of the university as a leading scientific institution in Ukraine! Your professional work has enabled the university to pass attestation and secure its position among the elite of Ukrainian science, ensuring the foundation for future success and development.
