The Regular Meeting of the Academic Council of TNMU Took Place
On February 24, 2026, a scheduled meeting of the Academic Council of TNMU was held under the chairmanship of the Head of the Academic Council, Prof. M. Korda.


Before the meeting began, certificates for the Ihor Khoruzhyi Named Scholarship were awarded to:
• Afanasieva Daryna, a first-year student of the Educational Program “General Medicine.”

- • Melnychuk Oleksandr, a fourth-year student of the Educational Program “General Medicine.”

- A certificate for the Rostyslav Valikhnovskyi Named Scholarship was awarded to Valko Kateryna, a child of a fallen defender and a first-year student of the Educational Program “Dentistry,” for her high academic achievements.

The certificates were presented by the University Rector, Petro Lykhatskyi, and Ihor Khoruzhyi.
In a ceremonial atmosphere, the Rector also presented certificates confirming a high level of English language proficiency to:

- • Oksana Prokopchuk

The first item on the agenda concerned competitive appointments. Information about the candidates for the positions of Heads of Departments and regarding the conferral of academic titles was provided by the Academic Secretary, Prof. I. Herasymiuk.

Following the results of a secret ballot, Associate Professor Taras Piatkovskyi was elected to the position of Head of the Department of Microbiology, Virology, and Immunology.

The academic title of Associate Professor was conferred upon:
• Roksolana Nasalyk – Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery

- • Ihor Khoruzhyi – Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care and Clinical Immunology

Information on the University’s financial and economic activities for 2025 was presented by Chief Accountant Tetiana Mudryk.

The report on the activities of the Faculty of Dentistry was delivered by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Associate Professor Svitlana Boitsaniuk.

The work of the publishing house “Ukrmedknyha” was reported on by the Deputy Rector for Publishing, Liubov Lohin.

Associate Professor Iryna Halabitska presented information on the implementation of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine’s national program “Health Screening 40+.” In her speech, she emphasized the importance of early detection of chronic diseases and the preventive opportunities offered by the program. The Primary Health Care Center of the University Clinic’s main areas of activity were also highlighted.
