Winners of the First Stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Pharmaceutical Law and Legislation Announced
On February 19, 2026, the first stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the discipline “Pharmaceutical Law and Legislation” was held at the Department of Management and Economics of Pharmacy with Drug Technology of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Pharmacy at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.
To organize the Olympiad, the department’s faculty developed comprehensive and well-structured competition tasks in accordance with the requirements of the educational and professional program. A unified methodology for assessing the works was also established, with clear and transparent evaluation criteria to ensure objective results and adherence to the principles of academic integrity.
The thematic focus of this year’s intellectual competition was “State Quality Control of Medicines” — a key component of the professional competence of future pharmacists. A total of 27 third-year students from the Educational and Scientific Institute of Pharmacy participated in the Olympiad. Participants completed written assignments of varying levels of difficulty, including situational tasks, closed-type tests, multiple-choice questions, and open-ended questions.
Based on the results of the scoring, the jury determined the winners:
- 1st place – Khrystyna Vozniak (FF-302)
- 2nd place – Anastasiia Synkiv (FF-301)
- 3rd place – Maryna Matvieieva (FF-301)
Those responsible for preparing and organizing the Olympiad this year were Associate Professors Maryana Demchuk (Head of the Jury), Olena Pokotylo, Liliia Budniak, Halyna Kozyr, Oksana Barna, Ihor Berdei, and Assistant Nadiia Malanchuk.

The Olympiad once again confirmed the high level of training of the students of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Pharmacy, their strong knowledge of the regulatory and legal framework governing pharmaceutical activities, and their readiness to participate in making responsible professional decisions.
