Thematic lecture for the students of Lesya Ukrainka Medical Lyceum No. 15 on the topic “How to maintain health for a long time?”

As part of the continued implementation of joint educational, preventive, and practice-oriented activities between TNMU and “Medical Lyceum No. 15,” a thematic meeting was held on March 18, 2026. The event was dedicated to one of the issues in modern medicine—endocrine disorders—and was titled “How to maintain health for a long time?”

The lecture for the lyceum students was delivered by Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics No. 2, Viktoriia Furdela, and 6th-year student Anastasiia Furdela.

The meeting aimed to improve students’ medical literacy and promote healthy lifestyle habits.

In an interactive format, the speakers defined the concept of “health,” discussed its main components, and explained the factors that influence a person’s health.

They also covered the composition of food products and how key nutrients affect fluctuations in blood glucose levels, as well as growth, well-being, mood, and the psychological state of adolescents.

Several popular diets were analyzed, along with their benefits and risks for a young body. Special attention was paid to “healthy” and “harmful” foods in order to help students make conscious dietary choices and develop healthy habits.

The students actively participated in discussions on healthy living.

They also had the opportunity to ask questions about studying at the university and about the KROK licensing exams.

This event became another step in preparing lyceum students for their future medical careers, allowing them to view endocrinology not just as a textbook subject but as an essential component of maintaining public health.
