Meeting of the Society of Psychiatrists, Narcologists, and Clinical Psychologists Held

On March 13, 2026, an important event for the regional medical community took place at the Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital — a meeting of the Society of Psychiatrists, Narcologists, and Clinical Psychologists. The main topic of the meeting was “Stress-Associated Mental Disorders, Their Features, and Pharmacological Support.”

The program included presentations by leading experts:

  • L. Snovyda, Medical Director for Psychiatry at the institution, presented a practical perspective on organizing patient care within the hospital. Special attention was given to the use of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) as a safe and effective method for treating complex conditions.
  • O. Venher, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, and Head of the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology, and Medical Psychology at Ternopil National Medical University, presented the dynamics of stress-associated disorders and mental health conditions, as well as current patterns of psychological response. She focused in detail on modern pharmacotherapy and patient management.
  • Yu. Mysula, Doctor of Medical Sciences and Professor of the same department at TNMU, complemented the discussion with expert insights into current issues in modern psychiatry. In particular, he addressed anxiety disorders, their differential diagnosis, and pharmacotherapy.

This meeting became a platform for genuine professional growth. A total of 108 psychiatrists, narcologists, and psychologists participated, gaining the opportunity to discuss complex clinical cases and receive answers to pressing questions.

Each participant acquired practical experience and new knowledge that will help improve the quality of care provided to patients starting today.
