A scientist of Ternopil State Medical University was awarded a rank “Honored Inventor of Ukraine”

Professor Ihor Halaichuk, the Head of the Department of Oncology, Radiodiagnosis, Radiotherapy and Radiation Medicine of Ternopil State Medical University, was recently awarded a rank “Honored Inventor of Ukraine” by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko due to his order on the occasion of Independence Day. The same rank was also awarded to Professor Petro Kryvyi, Ternopil Ivan Pulyuj National Technical University.

Igor Halaichuk has 15 author’s certificates and utility patents.

Igor Yosypovych is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the European Society for Medical Oncology, the European and the American Society of Surgical Oncology, the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer, the European Association for Cancer Research, the New York Academy of Sciences (1995-1996, USA), the Universal Medical Esperanto Association and others. In 2007 he chaired the Ternopil Regional Association of Oncologists.

From 1999 till 2000 as Fulbright Scholar in Medical Oncology he worked at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute. In 2002 he was a participant of International Research Exchange Program in Pediatric Oncology, in Memphis (USA).
