African Students Unit Was Established at TNMU

The number of foreign students, representatives of various African countries, studying at TNMU has decreased due to Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine. With the support of the Deputy Director of the Centre for Educational and Cultural Development, Associate Professor Olena Pokryshko, African students started the establishment of a temporary association African Student Unit.

The purpose of the association is to unite those who decided to continue their studies in Ukraine, despite the wartime conditions. Students of the International Students’ Faculty study according to the hybrid system. Those of them who returned to Ternopil, together with Ukrainian students, attend classes within the walls of the university and at departments located on the city’s clinical facilities. Those students who are abroad use the Teams platform while studying online.

The association will promote better interaction between students, the dissemination of necessary information, help solve problems of student life, communicate with the university administration to create comfortable conditions for learning and life at the alma mater.

  • Ghanaian representatives: ⁠Bannerman LeeAnne, ⁠Serwaa Ampem Nana Afia Kobi
  • Representatives of Sierra Leone: ⁠Sesay Moses Abdul
  • Representatives of Zimbabwe: ⁠Ndaba Blessed
  • Kenyan representatives: ⁠Khalif Abdulaziz Mahamud

    Adeyemi David Ayooluwa would be representing other nationalities not mentioned above.
