Another Defence of PhD Thesis in the Specialty “Health Care” Was Held at TNMU

On February 1, 2024, the successful defence of Oksana Prokopchuk’s PhD dissertation in Health Care took place in TNMU. The dissertation was supervised by Professor Igor Hospodarskyy. The topic of the dissertation research “Features of liver fibrosis after chemotherapy in patients with normal body weight and overweight” is important for modern medicine and has significant scientific potential in improving the treatment of patients with this pathology.


As part of the defence, Oksana Prokopchuk presented the results of her work, which are marked by deep analysis and practical significance for the medical community. Her research is aimed at improving approaches to the treatment of patients with drug-induced liver damage induced by polychemotherapy.


Experienced specialists in the field of medicine took part in the meeting of the specialized scientific council, which testifies to the importance and high evaluation of the conducted research.

The specialized academic council made a decision to award Oksana Prokopchuk the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of knowledge “Health Care” on the basis of the public defence of the dissertation. Ms. Oksana expresses her deepest appreciation to Ternopil National Medical University for the opportunity to obtain a high scientific degree within the walls of this university.

Oksana Prokopchuk was also deeply grateful to the administration of the Ternopil Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary for the opportunity to work with patients and for support in conducting research and clinical practice.
