As part of the SAFEMED+ project of the Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE program, modern equipment was purchased for the Simulation Medicine Center of the Ternopil National Medical University

During the implementation of the SAFEMED+ project Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University received funding for the purchase of the following equipment:
Resusci Anne Simulator;

  1. Resusci Anne Simulator;
  2. Little Baby QCPR (2 items);
  3. Hand simulator for intravenous access in children;
  4. Body Interact Programme;
  5. Task trainer of the palm for intravenous injections (2 items);
  6. Task trainer of the forearm for intravenous injections (2 items);
  7. Task trainer of the arm for subcutaneous injections (2 items);
  8. Simulator for the rectal examination, fecal evaluation and enemas.
  9. Portable computers (4 items).

With the help of Resusci Anne Simulator students of the 4-6 years of studying work out scenarios of simulated clinical situations which are related to critical patient management, and have the opportunity to work with a manual defibrillator, performing defibrillation, cardioversion, and pace-making. On the mannequin students learn to ensure patency of the upper respiratory tract, to auscultate the lungs, to differentiate respiratory sound, to listen normal and pathological heart tones, to determine the peripheral pulse, to measure blood pressure, and to provide intravenous access.

With the help of Little Baby QCPR students practice an algorithm of basic resuscitation measures in infants. The manikin allows you to control the depth and frequency of compression, as well as the effectiveness of ventilation.

Using the hand simulator for intravenous access in children, students have the opportunity to practice this skill in conditions as close as possible to real.

The Body Interact Programme allows students to work with a virtual patient in different clinical situations such as trauma, cardiology, toxicology, pediatrics, obstetrics and
gynecology, infectious diseases.

Task trainer of the palm for intravenous injection helps student to get the practice in providing intravenous injections on palm in conditions as close as possible to real.

Task trainer of the forearm for intravenous injections helps student to get the practice in providing intravenous injections on the forearm in conditions as close as possible to real.

Task trainer of the arm for subcutaneous injections helps student to get the practice in providing subcutaneous injections on the arm in conditions as close as possible to real.

Simulator for the rectal examination, fecal evaluation and enemas allows students to provide rectal examinations in different pathologies of rectum. Students also have the opportunity to evaluate and analyze different type of fecal. With this simulator students can learn and reproduce how to provide enemas.
