Tetiana Ivanitska, Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychiatry, Narcology and Medical Psychology of Ternopil National Medical University, recently received a scholarship of the President of Ukraine for young writers. This was announced on the official website of the President in the order “On the awarding of scholarships of the President of Ukraine for young writers and artists in the field of music, theatre, visual arts, choreography, variety and circus arts”

This scholarship is awarded annually to citizens of Ukraine aged 14 to 35 by the relevant decree of the President of Ukraine. They can be re-appointed, but not more than twice. Scholarships are paid monthly.

“I am receiving this scholarship for the second time. I had this honour for the first time in 2019. I submitted my candidacy last fall on the initiative and support of friends from the Buchach public organization,” Tetiana Ivanitska says

The requirement for participating in the scholarship competition was to submit one’s own creative work (Ms. Tetiana sent two collections of poems, a novel, collective collections of essays), a letter of motivation (why this scholarship is needed) and two recommendations from prominent cultural figures.

“Literature for me is a hobby, free time and fulfilment after busy everyday life. Now I have several interesting developments aimed at preserving the cultural heritage and traditions of our region,” Tetiana Ivanitska says.
