Summer Work Experience Internship of the Students of TSMU at Wroclaw Medical University

As part of Wroclaw and Ternopil Medical Universities cooperation the tradition of student exchange for interning goes on. This year, besides the students of the Faculty of Medicine, the summer work experience internship in Wroclaw the students of the Faculty of Pharmacy could pass too. The Faculty of Medicine was represented by the 4^th and 5^th course students: Hetmaniuk Vitalii, Lesnianska Svitlana, Malko Maria, Makhovskyi Vasyl, Ndjeng Aster Ntine, Oleksiak Olena, Pshenychnyi Andrii, Ryzhkovskyi Andrii, Fedortsiv Anastasia. The head of the group was a Master degree student of the Department of Pharmacology Hryshchuk Olena.

A true manager and coordinator of the universities cooperation is Honorary Professor of Ternopil State Medical University Wojciech Barg, who organized for our students an unforgettable internship in specialized departments of Wrocław hospitals.

From June 30 till July 24 for over four weeks the students had the opportunity to practice at departments of surgical gynecology, internal medicine, anesthesiology and intensive care, general surgery and oncology, traumatology and orthopedics, neonatology and also pediatric surgery and urology.

The students were impressed by the hospitality and professionalism of Polish doctors. They paid attention to the modern equipment of Polish hospitals and the grandeur of a new Clinical Hospital.

In free time the students enjoyed a comfortable and beautiful city of Wroclaw, as well as other interesting European cities, such as Berlin, Krakow and Prague. In the capital of Germany the incoming doctors visited an interesting world famous museum of anatomy «body worlds», created by German pathologist Gunther von Hagens.

This month of work was fabulous. Positive impressions and experience the students gained are thanks to the university administration, Work Experience Internship Office and internship manager of Wroclaw University, Professor Wojciech Barg, and of course all doctors, who presented the students the achievements of Polish medicine and willingly shared their medical and life experience.
