Local history research by “Terpoliany” Studio

At the end of November 2019, a cozy hall of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University Library hosted a meeting of TNMU Scientific Studio of the Local History Studies “Terpoliany”. The first year students of the Faculties of Dentistry, Pharmacy and the Institute of Nursing participated in this meeting.

The meeting was also attended by the guests from Rivne region, including representatives of the public organization “TEZA”, Kyiv,  Ternopil organization “Prosvita” represented by Dariia Chubata, a famous poet V. Barna. Teachers and professors of our university also visited the event.

Traditionally, the meeting was opened with the song “Hei, kozache, hei, sokole”, which was written by Polish lyceum student T. Padura in the mid-nineteenth century in Ternopil region and performed by the students of the International Students’ Faculty: Kala Iga, Maria Sokach, Michal Nieton, Arkadiusz Lesnyak-Mochulak.

In his welcoming speech, the Deputy Mayor of Ternopil Leonid Bytsiura presented the certificates to more than ten active students of the university and the city. Student carry out research in the most interesting areas, such as “Stefan Kachala – researcher, local historian, politician and clergyman of Ternopil region. His heritage” by the first-year student Bohdanna Bila (Faculty of Dentistry, supervised by L.V. Kravchuk, “Solomiia Krushelnytska – our famous singer” by the second year student Myroslava Horaiska (Institute of Nursing, supervised by T. B. Kadobnyi.

Dariia Chubata and poet V. Barna joined the performances. The event was organized by a first-year student of the Faculty of Pharmacy Viktoriia Kovalchuk. She managed to set a pleasant, cozy atmosphere in the hall. Members of “Terpoliany” Studio and the guests expressed their sincere appreciation to the university administration, TNMU Library Director O. Ya. Protsiv for the opportunity to work and communicate creatively.
