TNMU Supervisory Board has been Re-Approved
In compliance with the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”, the Regulations on the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the Charter of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University and the Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine dated December 24, 2020 the Supervisory Board of TNMU has been re-approved online.
Now it comprises:
- Wojciech Barg – the Head of the Department and Clinic of Internal Medicine, Pulmonology and Allergology, Wrocław Medical University (Poland);
- Petro Hadz – the Chairman of the Board of Regional Association “Ternopil Regional Council of Agricultural Enterprises”, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Buchachhlibprom Ltd., Hero of Ukraine;
- Volodymyr Ivanyshyn – the Rector of Podilsky Technical University of Agrarian Science, Professor, Doctor of Economics;
- Vitalii Koblosh – the Director of the Department of Humanitarian and Social Policy of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Secretariat;
- Vasyl Lazoryshynets – the Director of Mykola Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Academician of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor;
- Serhii Nadal – Ternopil Mayor;
- Viktor Ovcharuk – the General Director of the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise “Ternopil Regional Clinical Perinatal Center “Mother and Child” of the Ternopil Regional Council, PhD, Associate Professor;
- Vitalii Tsymbaliuk – the President of the NAMS of Ukraine, Academician of the NAMS of Ukraine, Professor, Doctor of Medical Sciences;
- Volodymyr Shkrobot – the General Director of the Municipal Non-Commercial Enterprise “Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital”, PhD, Associate Professor.
During the meeting of the newly approved Supervisory Board, the first issue on the agenda was the election of the chairman and the secretary. Petro Hadz was unanimously re-elected as a chairman of this governing body. Volodymyr Shkrobot is the Secretary of the Supervisory Board.
The Rector of Ternopil National Medical University, Professor Mykhailo Korda presented the audience a report on the activities of TNMU in 2020. The members of the Supervisory Board praised the work and achievements of the university for the previous year.
The tasks and responsibilities of the Supervisory Board are:
– consideration of the ways for perspective development of the university;
– assistance to the university administration in implementation of state policy in higher education and science;
– ensuring effective interaction of the university and state and local governments, scientific community, social and political organizations as well as economic entities regarding development and improvement of the quality of educational services and competitiveness of the university;
– public control over the activities of the University.
The term of the approved members of the Supervisory Board is five years. The members of the Supervisory Board perform their duties a voluntaryly. The organizational form of its work is meetings, which take place as needed, but at least once a year. The rector of the university or a person acting in his/her behalf participates in the meetings of the Supervisory Board with the right of an advisory vote.
